| Today’s activities revolve around OUR WORLD. We are adding on to our first day, HOME, second day TOWN , third day ANIMALS, and now we’re expanding into the world around us! Today’s lessons can be used in many different ways, and while they are a little less crafty today, they are meant to spark a lot of art-making and imagination! Today’s Art lesson is a simple introduction to some pencil textures. We will use those pencil textures to show different features in the map we are going to draw together! Feel free to follow along with me, or make your very own world! Today’s printables include a color-your-own map and a second page of cutouts you can color, cut out and glue on your map. You can also color in the world map, and draw your own structures or landmarks…and practice using texture and pencil strokes too! There is a page for children to explore the things that they love about their world, and it makes for good teaching and conversation-making. And finally, a drawing page to draw an imaginary world.
